Coconut Oil and Digestive Health
Diminishing those festive toxins, is another priority still on my list at the moment, alongside weight loss.
So before I continue, I must firstly confirm that I, Layla Subritzky am not a Dr, or Medical professional! I know you all thought that in-between having no talent on reality television, its darn believable I’d have done a quick degree or two! But I didn’t! On a serious note though, I have done my research, and you should also do yours before drastically changing anything.
Potential Digestion Problems
The following are all issues that would potentially create poor digestive health:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
- Stomach Ulcers
- Crohn’s Disease
- Twisted and Redundant Colon
Let’s get scientific
The human body is made only to digest natural foods, those The Universe intended us to eat, those things that grow, swim and walk *please refer to ‘Paleo Diet’ blog post* , it really doesn’t know how to digest man-made foods. Our bodies are at its healthiest when we eat these foods nature created, not those foods made in a laboratory or by a bunch of scientists. But this is common sense right? Or are we growing more and more into a lazy generation? Sometimes we just need to refresh on the most basic things.
Daily consumption of coconut oil will reduce symptoms of digestive disorders. It will support all of the body’s immune function, and will help prevent viral and fungal infections. The medium chain fatty acids I discussed in my previous blog, play a crucial role in ridding the body of its toxins with its Lauric acid. Coconut oil goes in and zaps all of the harmful bad bacteria in our digestive tract, and colon.
Studies also show that coconut oil will heal tissues along the digestive tract, so if you have painful conditions, it will help calm down symptoms and discomfort.
So I summarise to thee….
Without going into too much detail, by taking coconut oil daily, preferably first thing in the morning, you will totally flush out your digestive tract, ridding the body of harmful toxins.
A good friend of mine has taught me to shot coconut oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice first thing in the morning, before anything! It is THE BEST!!! Try it for a week to start off with, see how you go, I know it is one part of your morning routine you will keep, long term!
